Porktoberfest is blasting into our second year, supporting Hogs for the Cause with a mission that's as bold as our BBQ. In our rookie year, we smoked the competition and raised over $40,000, and returned in our second year to raise over $75,000 to support children with pediatric brain cancer and their families.
Led by pitmasters Kyle May, Christian Leach, and Nick Cormier of the renowned Envie Smokehouse, our team brings competition-winning recipes, custom rigs, and a trophy collection that makes other BBQ teams weep. With several High-on-the-Hog Grand Champion veterans on our roster, we don't just participate—we dominate.

THE MISSION BEHIND THE MEAT
Hogs for the Cause combines an epic BBQ competition with live music to create the ultimate fundraising powerhouse for families battling pediatric brain cancer. Since its humble beginnings in 2009, Hogs has evolved into one of the largest BBQ competitions in the country.
Every year, thousands of families receive the devastating news that their child has brain cancer. The emotional toll is immense, and the financial burden can be crippling. That's where Hogs for the Cause steps in.
Last year alone, Hogs raised an incredible $4.3 million, contributing to a lifetime total of over $10 million. These funds power three essential programs:
Grant Program: Direct financial assistance to families for medical bills and related expenses
Hogs Houses: Free housing near hospitals in New Orleans and Baton Rouge for families with children receiving ongoing treatment
Advocacy: Raising awareness and fighting for increased research funding for pediatric brain cancer
